06/18/2016 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Gage continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. He brings a positive energy to the field and works hard day in and day out. At the plate is where he has improved the most. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing with the baseball exploding off of his bat when centered and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields, displaying gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 6 for 12 with a 2B and has 2 hits in the championship game that his team won. At 1B, feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are aggressive and shows a soft glove action. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
