01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Gannon continues to show as a prospect at the Under Armour Pre Season All American Tournament. In the OF, defensive abilities are excellent as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his quick feet (7.31 60 time), covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with online zip (88 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he displays outstanding hitting / power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (92 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and he works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 80 mph. FB ranges from 77-80 mph. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise s he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Gannon has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

11/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Las Vegas, NV Gannon is an OF/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame athletic build with broad shoulders and strength present. In the OF, showed fluid footwork, with athletic actions, and ability to cover ground in all directions. Aggressive routes enable him to create good fielding angles as he works through the ball. Showed ability to flip his hips and go get balls. Fields from an athletic fielding position with a quick exchange. Made accurate/on-line throws from a high 3/4 arm slot into infield up to 86mph. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher has a good rear hip coil and has a clean leg lift. He gathers over rubber and rotates to target with good direction down the mound. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 76-79mph with good arm side run and plus command. At the plate, starts with a tall and open stance. Athletic actions, with an on-time swing, and a middle of the field approach. He hit balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 89mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see Gannon making huge strides on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
