ADVANCED SWING METRICS BY SWINGTRACKER

Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 1B/LHPPosition Projection

12/05/2021 - All-In Membership - Chandler (Phoenix), AZ Ganon is a lean/athletic, two-way player with solid skills at both positions. At 1B, Gannon has quick feet, agile range, and a soft presentable glove. He has a good foot work around the bag, fields the ball cleanly, and throws with a strong/accurate arm with carry to his target. Playing a bit more through the ball, and continuing to add arm strength, will only help this young player improve defensively. On the mound, this LHP shows good balance, on-time hand separation, and he finishes well through to his target. He has a repeatable delivery, simple mechanics, and he competes in a zone with all of his pitches. More use of his lower half, and continuing to work down in a zone will only help abilities on the mound get even better. At the plate, Ganon has a square athletic stance, an on-time barrel, and good balance. He covers the plate well, he has explosive bat speed, and makes hard consistent contact with a level swing plane. Some work on rhythm will only help this left-hand hitter improve his solid offensive skills.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
