08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Garrett continues to show improvements in his baseball tools. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.22 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Receiving / blocking skills are solid as he shows off his athletic abilities. He communicates well behind the plate and shows good leadership traits. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved as well through an open setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Lower half works well through the swing through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 4 for 8. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a solid team player. A talented prospect, he will make things happen both behind the dish as well as with the bat.
