Official Scouting Report

  • Position Projection

11/01/2019 - College Recruiting Day - Columbia, MD Garrett is a 2B prospect who will graduate in 2025. In the field, Garrett shows efficient footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He fields in a low position and makes a clean exchange, working to keep his throws accurate to his target. Keeping his hands low to the ball can help Garrett improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He works to barrel up the baseball and makes solid contact. Garrett can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With six more years to develop, Garrett has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
