06/29/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Garrison continues to show a promising future on the diamond. 11/06/2014 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Garrison showed as both a 3B/RHP in his most recent outing with Baseball Factory. Defensively, he made the routine plays and threw with carry across the diamond. Speeding up his feet and quickening his release will improve range and overall ability at the hot corner. Offensively, he showed some strength at contact and flashed solid bat speed. He got to a good launch position, on-time, and drove the ball when he kept his front side square. On the bump, he sat from 78-81 with his FB, spun an 11/5 CB and flashed feel for a CH. He gathered well over the rubber and stayed directional to pound the zone. Greater lower half drive and looser arm action will improve velocity and effectiveness. Overall - Garrison is a confident hurler that hits with pop from the left side and defends the hot corner with sound ability.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
