01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Garrison showed at the UAAAPS tournament for a second time, as a 3B/RHP. Offensively, the LHH showed an aggressive approach with pull-side pop. He delivered the barrel on a level path with loose hands, and hit 92 mph with his exit velocity. At the hot corner, he prepped his feet and took decent angles to cut-off ground balls. On the hill, he threw a FB with tail from 81-82, a 10-4 CB from 70-71, and a CH with tail from 72-74. He showed exceptional confidence with his CB, throwing it in any count for strikes, and repeated his overall delivery extremely well. He pounded the zone with all his pitches and worked ahead in the count. In all - Garrison is a strong 6'/235 lbs ball player that projects as a two-way guy at the next level.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Garrison continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he continues to show best an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work inside the ball utilizing all fields. He has strength in his swing with baseball exploding off the bat with gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 3 for 5 with a 2B. At 3B, he displays clean / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / clean and he presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, he works through a strong balance point with an upbeat tempo. Arm action is loose / quick through a 3/4 arm slot. Fastball showed in the low 80 range with arm side run. Breaking ball is an outstanding pitch, displaying 12/6 shape with late, sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for and is deceptive. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs at the next level. Control is outstanding as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

06/29/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Garrison continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, he has plus lateral range for a big guy, working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping across the diamond. At the plate - he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack - crushing the ball to all gap with plus bat speed (90 exit velocity). On the mound, this righty has a 3 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB jumps out of his hand and shows some sinking action - 82 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He works tall and drives downhill, repeating well. Garrison has the tools that will play at a very high level and make an immediate impact.

02/28/2016 - College PREP - Atlanta, GA Garrison only showed at 3B at the event but has really improved his baseball abilities. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now displaying outstanding hitting abilities with well above average power potential. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work inside the ball as he utilizes all fields. He is strong and shows plus barrel accuracy with baseball coming off his bat differently. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, he is aggressive in attacking ground balls and displays soft / sure hands. Feet / hands work well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Arm strength is now outstanding (86 mph velo) with throws displaying life / accuracy, and on line carry. With 2 years to further develop, Garrison has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

06/13/2015 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Garrison continues to show as a 3B/RHP with a promising future on the diamond and an upside on the mound where he projects best. He hides the ball well with fastball showing in the low 80 range. Breaking ball is an outstanding pitch, displaying 11/5 shape with late / sharp break. He throws a slider that is harder with tight spin and short break. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches, locating to both sides of the plate. He fields his position well and does a nice job of backing up bases. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, feet are active as he works to square balls up, displaying clean hands. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he attacks balls more while presenting hands more out front and increases foot quickness. At the plate, he had a great week going 7 for 13. He has some strength in his swing with baseball jumping off the bat when centered and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get his stride foot down to work on time. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

03/08/2015 - National Tryout - Atlanta, GA Harless continues to show as 3B/RHP at the event but currently, projects best on the mound for the next level. Arm strength has improved as he threw his best velocity to date at 83 mph. Fastball showed a range of 78-83 mph with arm sider run. Breaking ball now displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight arm side run. Stock on mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program, works to throw more strikes and develop better off speed stuff. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, feet are active as he works through a strong foundation. Hands are clean but needs to work through a low approach while presenting hands more out front to continue to improve defensive grade. At the plate, he has strength in his swing with ball jumping off when centered, mainly to the pull side. He needs to work to get stride foot down sooner to work on time and keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields to become more consistent and improve hitting grades. Garrison has an upside on the mound and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

11/06/2014 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Garrison showed as both a 3B/RHP in his most recent outing with Baseball Factory. Defensively, he made the routine plays and threw with carry across the diamond. Speeding up his feet and quickening his release will improve range and overall ability at the hot corner. Offensively, he showed some strength at contact and flashed solid bat speed. He got to a good launch position, on-time, and drove the ball when he kept his front side square. On the bump, he sat from 78-81 with his FB, spun an 11/5 CB and flashed feel for a CH. He gathered well over the rubber and stayed directional to pound the zone. Greater lower half drive and looser arm action will improve velocity and effectiveness. Overall - Garrison is a confident hurler that hits with pop from the left side and defends the hot corner with sound ability.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
