02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Garrison is an athletic (6'2"/170) two-way prospect (3B/RHP) in the class of 2021 that brings a lot of energy to the field with a great attitude toward the game. At 3B, he starts in a ready/athletic position playing on the balls of his feet, showing off great range. Glove is smooth, creating a clean exchange while creating momentum into his exchange. At the plate, this righty takes the box in an open setup with high hands. He works through an active load creating a firm front leg into his landing. The ball pops off his barrel (exit velo = 85 mph) and he has great game awareness in the box as a solid situational bat in the lineup. From the mound, he works with a three-pitch mix with great command of the strike zone. FB ranges 76-79 with run, CB ranges 67-70 with good depth, CH has arm side run with a high volume of strikes. He uses simple/repeatable mechanics, allowing him to work ahead in counts and compete against hitters. Garrison is a solid prospect with a great skill set.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Nash just continues to work hard and shine on the diamond, doing so again at the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. Offensively, he stands in well with a balanced approach and loose/active hands to load. He jumps on pitches he likes, squaring the ball up and driving it with pop. At 3B, he maintains athletic actions working right to left in his approach to the GB. Hands are soft with a quick release to throw. He makes the backhand play smoothly and gains ground toward 1B well. On the mound, Nash works the zone challenging hitters to swing the bat. He has good confidence, works through his delivery fluidly and stays directional toward the dish. He works to stay on top and drives downhill, utilizing his frame. Breaking ball has good depth and with 10/4 shape. Garrison has worked hard and molded himself into a solid all-around 2-way prospect who has the tools that will translate into the next level.

10/07/2020 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Garrison is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who showed well during the Arizona Fall Classic. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through an athletic setup. He is smooth to load and takes aggressive hacks through a level swing path, producing great gap to gap power. In the field, Garrison is agile moving to the ball and gets into an athletic position. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a smooth exchange, making accurate throws across the diamond. On the mound, Garrison gathers over the rubber and is fluid separating his hands. He works with a quick arm and accelerates through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Garrison shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph. Breaking ball sits from 66-67mph with 10-4 break. Overall, Garrison is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Garrison continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential is now excellent through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields, driving ball to deepest part of the park. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 75-77 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with short break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard resembling fastball. Control is excellent as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Garrison is a tall 3B/RHP prospect who continued to showcase his skills at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Garrison creates good angles and makes the routine plays, working to keep his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated on time and takes a level swing, producing solid line drives. On the mound, Garrison gathers over the rubber and shows fluid hand separation. He works with a clean arm and stays inline towards the plate. Garrison shows a three pitch mix with his fast ball topping out at 78mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 65-68mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 68-70mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Garrison is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

07/17/2019 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Garrison is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who showed well during the Under Armour Southwest Championships. In the field, Garrison shows efficient footwork and fields with soft hands in an athletic position. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with comfortable hands. He is smooth getting his hands activated and shows plus barrel control. On the mound, Garrison keeps his glove centered in his balance point and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and drives his back leg through well. Garrison shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 73mph with arm side run and sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 62-64mph with 11-5 break. Overall, Garrison is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

05/12/2019 - College PREP - Lakewood (Denver), CO Garrison is an athletic 3B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Garrison shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, getting good carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes his stride on time. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid contact and gap to gap pop. On the mound, Garrison gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and extends through his release, finishing square to the plate. Garrison shows a three pitch mix with his four seam fastball topping out at 76mph with cutting action. Two seam tops out at 75mph with good sinking action. Changeup sits from 68-70mph with sinking action. Overall, Garrison is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Garrison is a 3B/RHP who continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach. At 3B, he has plus lateral range (7.38 60 time), working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping across the diamond. He continues to show as an upside on the bump. This righty has a 3 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. Fastball showed a range of 68-70 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/27/2018 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Garrison shined at the Recruiting Classic event. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball a range of 66-67 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a feel for pitch with arm side run. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

10/07/2018 - College PREP - Parker (Denver), CO Garrison is an athletic 3B/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the field, Garrison shows efficient footwork and centers the ball in the middle of his body. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line across the diamond. Garrison can improve defensively by working through backhand plays more. At the plate is where this RHH has improved the most, setting up in an athletic stance and taking a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a short swing with good extension through the ball, leading to line drives to all fields. Garrison can improve as a hitter by staying in his legs more. On the mound, Garrison gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release. Garrison shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 64mph. Changeup sits from 59-61mph. Garrison can improve as a pitcher by driving his lower half more. With three more years to develop, Garrison has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Garrison is a 3B/RHP prospect who plays hard and is a great teammate who has a very high baseball IQ. He uses his long levers at the plate to generate bat speed to impact the ball and show big power potential. He has a level path and gets on plane early to keep the barrel through the zone for an extended time. This allows him to make consistent, solid contact and hit the ball to all fields with authority. At the hot corner, his arm is a huge asset as he makes long throws in plenty of time to get hitters out. He works well from side to side and is able to throw from multiple arm slots to get rid of the ball quickly. On the bump, he features a FB/CH combo that profiles well to the bullpen as he plays the changeup well off of the fastball. He is very poised on the mound, working quickly to and downhill to keep hitters off balance and us around the zone consistently to try and work ahead in the count. Finishing his pitches out front will lead to better action on his pitches. Garrison is a young, intriguing prospect who we expect to continue improving.

07/15/2018 - Baseball Factory D.C. All Star Experience (Ages 14-18) Garrison is an athletic and talented 2021 2-way position prospect that made several adjustments throughout the training weekend. At 3B, Garrison has an active prep step and creates angles to the ball. Continuing to present a low/early glove and working from the ground up will allow him to field the ball in a more athletic position. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Garrison starts in a tall stance and gets the barrel to the ball consistently. He needs to continue to create separation, keep a quiet head, and keep his head down at contact. On the bump, Garrison gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a clean arm action. Garrison will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Garrison continues to improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / sure but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 69 mph. Fastball shows a range of 68-69 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

07/18/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Garrison continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are aggressive in attacking balls but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is soft / clean but will benefit by presenting more out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play as he gets rid of the ball quickly with carry on his throws. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 60-61 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with early break. Stock on the mound will increase as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

12/20/2016 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 Garrison is a tall 2021 3B/RHP prospect with good athletic ability and a strong arm. As a 3B, Garrison needs to continue creating good pre pitch movement, presenting an early/ low target and playing through the ball. As a hitter, Garrison has a balanced stance, quick hands to the ball, and creates leverage keeping his hands back. A strong front side, and loading earlier will allow him to hit the ball to all fields. As a pitcher, Garrison needs to continue staying over the rubber, following through on his delivery and be directional to the plate. Developing his secondary pitches will add value to his overall future on the mound. Garrison is a hard working player and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/29/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Garrison continues to show progress in his baseball abilities. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and squares up well with his body. Hands are clean as he presents on time and out front. He shows off his athletic ability on his turns of the double play. Increasing foot quickness will aid in improving range. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 60-62 mph. Getting on a long toss program to build more arm strength will aid in further development on mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. Overall, Garrison is a talented young prospect who will be a name to follow as he continues to develop.

06/20/2016 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series Garrison is a very coachable 2-way player who has a ton of upside. As a hitter - this strong righty steps into the box with a purpose. He takes an aggressive hack with quick hands, whipping the barrel and squaring the ball up with pop. The ball jumps off of his bat when centered. Even more power potential is there with more use of his lower 1/2. At 3B - Nash has active/efficient footwork and is aggressive to come and get the GB. He works around the ball from right to left, funnels smoothly and has a clean transfer/exchange to throw. Playing through the ball more and gaining ground toward 1B will help to get more onto his throws. On the mound, Garrison throws a FB & CH from a loose/free arm action. He keeps his eyes on the target and stays directional toward the plate. FB tops out at 63 mph while showing slight cutting action. Continuing to work on his separation (earlier) along with his extension on his finish (towel drill) will help to improve effectiveness on all pitches. A 2021 grad - Garrison has tool with upside as he has a great work ethic.

12/20/2015 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 Garrison is a coachable player and is a great teammate with a solid frame. In the IF, feet are active as he works to square balls up, displaying clean hands. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared / balanced setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power numbers will increase as he utilizes his lower half more. On the mound, this RHP repeats his delivery well. He is around the zone and throws strikes, challenging hitters to put the ball in play and giving his defense a chance. FB ranges from 59-63 mph. Working to a taller balance point and driving his lower 1/2 downhill off of the rubber will help to improve effectiveness on the mound. With 6 years to further develop, Garrison has abilities with time and room to improve.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
