12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Gavin is a coachable OF/LHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. In the field, Gavin Works through the ball and fields with sure hands. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes strong/accurate throws through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with loose hands. He works to barrel up the baseball and produces solid contact. On the mound, Gavin operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 78mph. Breaking ball sits at 66mph with 1-7 break. Changeup sits from 68-75mph. Overall, Gavin is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/12/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Bernardino, CA Gavin is a LHP/OF in the class of 2025 out of California. In the outfield, he has efficient foot work by working to the baseball to catch the fly ball high. On his throws he keeps his front side closed which makes him accurate to his target. At the plate, he has a tall stance and a short stride which keeps him balanced and on plane to hit the ball to all fields. On the rubber, he had a strong lower half and good front side direction which gave his fastball some tail while his off speed showed good sharp break. Gavin is a promising athlete who will continue to grow into his projectable frame. We are excited to see what his future holds.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
