At the plate, power potential is now solid through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 63 mph. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

03/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Raleigh, NC
Gehrig is a solid, 2-way player who plays 1st base and LHP. Defensively, Gehrig is aggressive to the ball, feet are active, and he covers ground well. He keeps the ball in front of his body, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a loose arm action to his target. On the mound, this LHP has good balance, on time separation, and he lands in a square position toward home plate. He mixes his off-speed in well and competes in the zone. Offensively, Gehrig has a square set-up, good balance, and a level/direct swing path. He puts the bat on the ball consistently and uses some lower body. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.
1. Widen base
2. Fielding position
3. Arm strength
1. Loosen arm action
1. Lower body
3. Barrel accuracy
