08/14/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Trenton, NJ Gianni is a 2-way player as a 3B/OF. With the bat, this RHH shows a square approach with good balance. He makes contact and drives the ball with pop. In the OF, he shows active footwork as he moves into position behind the fly-ball. He delivers accurate throws and follows through well. At 3B, Gianni moves well into a square fielding position. He fields the ball cleanly and works in-line toward his target at 1B. Overall abilities will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
