06/08/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, MD Gino has made some nice improvements since we last saw him. He cut over a half second off his 60 yard dash and is showing improvement with the bat and power as well. He has a good set up and loads his hands nicely to start the swing. His lower half works well and he has some good extension and finish. He has good athleticism and above average abilities for his age.

10/06/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, MD Gino is a lean OF who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 5 years to further develop, Gino has potential with time and room to progress his game.

10/20/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Ellicott City, MD Gino is a solid young 2026 who flashed some very good athleticism. Plays fast and aggressive which will allow his tools to develop naturally as he matures. Strengths: - Very good glove technique - Consistent, direct swing path - Balanced through the swing process Main Areas for Improvement: - Quicken 1st step toward the ball (DEF) - Creating more rhythm at the plate. - Simplifying stride length.

10/13/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Baltimore, MD Gino is a young, OF with a thin frame. Defensively, Gino has soft hands, active feet, and he covers ground well. He fields low, plays through properly, and throws with an accurate arm across the diamond. Offensively, Gino has a square stance, good balance, and a level swing. He loads his hands well, has good strike zone awareness, and he can work the ball to all fields. Overall skills can get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
