01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Pedersen is a lean athletic 2016 SS prospect. Good preparation, a quick first step and very good range allow him to take proper angles to the baseball and range well in both directions. With a good glove and good footwork through the ball, he throws the ball across the diamond with good carry and is accurate. A very good athlete, solid frame and an explosive take off (6.9 60yd dash) allow him to make a good impact on the base paths offensively. Can be a game changer there. At the plate, he stays athletic and uses his lower 1/2 well. Mixed with a great eye, he is patient and can drive the ball on a line to all fields. Looks to be a high average player at the next level. Glenn will be a solid player at the next level with the ability to make impacts in multiple areas on the field.

07/10/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National East Pedersen continues to show well on the diamond. With the bat, this righty has a balanced setup with patience, letting the ball travel. Swing is quick through a level path as he connects and hits line-drives. He hits the ball where it's pitched showing his ability to use the entire field. At SS, Glenn has quick/active footwork moving well around the GB. Hands are soft/sure with a clean exchange to throw. A well-rounded athlete - Glenn has the tools that will translate well into the next level of play.

04/12/2015 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Glenn continues to shine on the diamond. This athlete is fun to watch. Defensively in the INF, he shows active footwork with fluid actions working through the GB right to left. He funnels smoothly to a quick/clean exchange, firing throws on a line to 1B. In the OF, he works lightly on the balls of his feet and tracks down fly-balls hit to his right and left. He gains ground and fires throws with carry that runners will not want to test. With the bat, Pedersen remains selective with good zone awareness. He connects with strength and drives the ball to the gaps with pop. Glenn has a ton of upside and will play at a very high level.

06/21/2014 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Glenn continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved, now showing as an above average runner as indicated by his 7.0 60 time. Defensive grade are outstanding as he attacks balls, plays through well, and presents soft / sure hands out front. He gets rid of the baseball quickly with life, carry, and accuracy across the diamond. At the plate he shows outstanding hitting abilities through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a level swing path. He shows a fell for the barrel through a solid line drive approach. At the event, he was 6 for 12. Mental makeup is a plus as he is extremely coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

02/23/2014 - College PREP - Waco, TX Glenn is a lean, athletic SS/OF that will graduate in 2016. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.15 60 time. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he utilizes his quick, athletic feet well in his laterally movement as he displays outstanding range in the MIF. He attacks balls, plays through while displays soft / clean hands as he makes the plays. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat with defensive grades improving as he learns to get behind balls more, playing through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by continuing to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting abilities with solid power grade through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and has strength in his swing with baseball jumping off the bat when centered, displaying gap to gap pop. With 2 years to further develop, Glenn has the makings of a special type player and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
