06/21/2024 - College World Series Experience - Session 2 Graham is a 6ft 6/245 1B/RHP in the 2025 class. He recently impressed scouts at the college WS in Omaha. In the field, he works hard to find his hops and centers his body to the baseball. He closes the distance and shows strong glove presentation. His exchanges are clean and he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Working to sink his hips will all him to play under the ball and increase his mobility. On the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix from a high 3 qtr. slot. His FB sat 71-3 and worked both sides of the plate. His breaking pitch had 11-5 shape at 58 and displayed tilt. His split creates downward action at 57. He fields his position very well. At the plate, he has power potential. Ball jumps at 88 and he collected two hits on the weekend. Working to shorten his swing in disadvantage counts will increase his ball in play ratio. Overall, Graham shows big potential and scouts feel college coaches should keep an eye on him.

04/28/2024 - National Showcase - Binghamton, NY Graham is a solid, strong 1B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying solid hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through a tall, open setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are firm and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 69-70 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Split finger is harder with good downward action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Graham has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
