10/20/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Conroe (Houston), TX Grant is an athletic, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Grant has active feet, a presentable glove, and he fields in a low position. He covers ground, makes plays, and throws with consistency and accuracy from a short arm action to his target. On the mound, Grant has good balance over the rubber and he gets good extension on his pitches. He has a controlled landing toward home, mixes his pitches well, and throws strikes. Offensively, Grant has a tall/athletic stance, he loads well, and stands in with balance. He has fast bat speed, swings on plane, and works the ball gap to gap. Grant can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
