12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Grayson is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Christmas Camp and Tournament at Pirate City. In the field, Grayson shows active footwork and fields with sure hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Grayson improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He shows controlled rhythm and drives through well with his lower half. He gets good extension through the ball with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. Grayson can improve as a hitter by activating his hands more in his load. On the mound, Grayson gathers over the rubber and works with a quick arm, keeping his eyes on target. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 70-71mph with 11-5 break. Changeup shows good sinking action. Being more controlled with his hand separation can help Grayson improve as a pitcher. Overall, Grayson is a talented prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.
