12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Gregory continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas showcase. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he utilizes his quick feet (7.00 60 time) well in covering ground. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 5 for 8. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 70-73 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and great team player.

10/10/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bowie, MD Gregory is an athletic OF prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Gregory shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a short swing with fast bat speed, producing strong line drives. Overall, Gregory is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
