07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy- Session 1 (HS) Grayson is a SS in the 2024 class. Scouts describe him as a solid team player who plays with energy. In the field, he is in control of his body with relaxed movements. His feet are effective and moves well to arm/glove side. Fields under the baseball and his feet are on-time with his hop selection. He has sure hands and releases from a high ¾ slot. Demonstrates an accurate arm that is strong across the diamond. Quickening his field to release will assist with green runners on the paths. At the plate, his is a line drive hitter with a middle of the field approach. His hands are quick and the swing is smooth and on-plane. Collect 3 hits in game action with a few hard outs. Overall, scouts like his actions and feel he has a bright future ahead of him.

06/16/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (HS) Greyson continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.08 runner. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He moves well laterally and covers ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 4 for 6 with 2 BB. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

03/13/2022 - All-In Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Greyson is a 2B out of Tyler, TX in the class of 2024. At 2B, he showed active footwork by being explosive out of his reads and covering ground. He works from the ground up when fielding while pushing through the baseball and making clean exchanges from glove to hand. His throws were accurate and consistent to his targets with carry. At the plate, he uses an athletic set up with a short stride and smooth timing to deliver the barrel to the pitch. He has quick hands and a direct bat path which allows him to make consistent contact with gap to gap power. With 2 years to further develop, Greyson has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
