08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Guiliano continues to improve on the field and clearly loves the game as he is always the last player to leave. He can really swing it with the ability to put the ball in play consistently and drive it to the pull side with pop. He shows rhythm in the box to load and launch his fast hands through the zone. His lower half generates power and he works on a direct path to hit the ball hard regularly. At short, he creates efficient angles to field with active feet to work around the ball and field with soft hands. He gets low and has quick hands to exchange and release to make a very capable DP partner. On the mound, he shows a FB/CB mix with the ability to throw both for strikes in any count. He works downhill and is able to induce weak contact, while showing a put away pitch in his sharp curveball. Staying focused on his target will help improve command and the ability to throw quality strikes. Guiliano is an exciting prospect who looks to make an impact at the next level.

01/07/2018 - College PREP - San Antonio, TX Guiliano is a strong, thick, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Guiliano has quick/fluid footwork, soft hands, and he fields in an athletic position. He works the double play well, fields the slow roller with ease, and throws with a quick, short arm action to his target. On the mound, Guiliano stands over the rubber well, he separates on time, and gets good extension on his pitches. He lands in a square position and rotates through to his target well. If Guiliano can quicken his tempo, loosen his arm action, and develop a CH, mound effectiveness can get better. At the plate, Guiliano has an open stance, a square stride, and a proper load. He stands in well balanced, has fast bat speed, and makes square contact through a level swing. Hitting can improve if Guiliano can avoid rushing and staying through the hitting zone longer.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
