01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Haden is an athletic C prospect who showed well at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. Behind the plate, Haden sits in an athletic stance and receives with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with good backspin through the 2B bag. He is smooth moving to block and centers the ball in the middle of his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load on time and takes a level swing. He generates fast bat speed through the zone, leading to hard line drives to all fields. Overall, Haden is a talented prospect who will be one to follow going into his sophomore season.

09/08/2019 - College PREP - Greenville, SC Haden is a prospect on the diamond and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities. Offensively, he has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage - resulting in a barrel explosion with the ball coming off well of his barrel. With flexion and good sway he pockets pitches with a soft/sure mitt. He shows off his athletic abilities through the blocking process as he is a wall behind the plate. Pop times showed in the 2.13 range with accuracy / on line carryon his throws.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Haden continues to shine on the diamond with improvements to his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved, now showing outstanding hitting abilities with tremendous power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing, flashing gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 2 for 4 with 2 2B. Behind the plate, feet are aggressive and active as he works in line to his target, through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.10 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and he works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Glove action is soft and he sticks in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level.

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Haden continues to show a tremendous future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet work in line to his target through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times showed in the 2.05 range with accuracy and zip (83 mph velocity) on his throws. He shows a solid setup and presents a low target. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls out front. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a solid team player.

09/26/2018 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Haden is a coachable prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Arizona Freshman Fall Classic. Behind the plate, Haden shows efficient footwork and covers up well when blocking. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with soft hands. He makes a quick exchange and gains momentum well on his throws to 2B, keeping them accurate with good carry through the bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and shows a good rhythm. He takes a strong swing to the ball and drives it well. Overall, Haden is a talented prospect who will be one to follow as he progresses.

03/18/2018 - National Tryout - Greenville, SC Haden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.05 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He shows off his athletic abilities through the blocking process and he is a wall behind plate. At the plate, he shows a squared setup with balance. Hands are loose and work to and through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Haden is an athletic and talented 2022 C/OF prospect. Behind the dish, Haden has an athletic primary and secondary stance. He works behind the ball when receiving. He leads with his glove and controls balls in the dirt with his chest. Continuing to have a clean exchange and creating momentum with his lower half will allow him to be more accurate. At the plate, Haden starts in an open stance and keeps a quiet head. He has good rhythm in his body and attack the inside part of the ball. He keeps the barrel on plane with the ball and uses the whole field. Haden will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
