04/10/2016 - College PREP - Costa Mesa (Los Angeles), CA Hagen only showed as a catcher at the event and has really improved his baseball tools since the last time we saw him. He has a tremendous future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. He utilizes his quick feet in gaining ground through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times have really improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 1.95. Arm strength is outstanding as indicated by his top velocity of 89 mph. He will control the running game with his feet / arm. Receiving / blocking skills are tremendous, showing as plus tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying tremendous hitting / power potential. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball and has strength in his swing with baseball exploding off the bat. Barrel accuracy is outstanding as he will hit and hit to all fields with pop. Hagen has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball tools.
