12/27/2015 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Hanks is a big/strong 2-way player who showed well during his time at Pirate City. At the plate, this lefty fits nicely in the clean-up role as he has power that will drive in runs. He barrels the ball up with it jumping off when centered (exit velocity = 84 mph). At 1B - Hanks hustles into a square fielding position and makes the plays smoothly. He has the ability to stretch and go get it, picking throws out of the dirt. Continuing to develop his footwork/agility will help to increase his lateral range. On the mound, this RHP maintains fluid tempo and works at his pace. He has a solid mound presence and looks the part. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits in the low 80's while showing occasional tail. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with late action. He challenges hitter and gives his defense a chance, not offering up any free passes. Hanks is a well rounded player who will make an impact in a variety of ways.
