05/28/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Harold is an athletic and talented 2020 SS prospect. At SS, Harold is on time with his prep step, he creates angles to the ball, and has good footwork. He has good hands, a clean exchange, and has a quick release. Harold has a plus arm strength and can throw from multiple arm slots. At the plate, Harold loads his hands back into the drive position, attacks the inside part of the ball, and drives his back side through the ball. He consistently finds the barrel and drives the ball to all fields. Harold has tremendous upside and we hope to see his progress in the future.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Harold is one of a hard-to-find prospect group - a high school shortstop who has the ability to stay at that position at higher levels. He is an instinctual defender who reads and picks hops well and shows natural, confident actions in all that he does. His hands are sure, his exchange is quick, and his arm has good on-line carry across the diamond. Harold has a smooth, simple right-handed stroke with good barrel accuracy that leads to line drives to all fields and provided a two-RBI double during game play in Arizona. This is a complete player at a premium position.

07/18/2018 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Harold continues to show the makings of a special type player at the next level. At SS, defensive abilities are at a pro level as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and zip (87 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine, now displaying tremendous power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. He is a tough out and controls the bat well, showing as a lead off type hitter. At the event, he was 6 for 9 with 2 2B and a 3B. Mental makeup may be his best tool as he plays the game the right way. He runs everything out and gets after it on the field. Harold has the tools to play at the next level and will make some school a special type player.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Harold continues to shine on the diamond and did so again during his time in Arizona. This fluid INF can absolutely pick it. He has plus lateral range, funnels smoothly and has a strong arm firing throws with zip to 1B. At the plate, this righty remains balanced with patience as he waits for a pitch he likes. Quick hands whip the barrel to and through the zone as he squares the ball up consistently with pop. Only a 2020 grad, Coll has a ton of upside and is an INF prospect to keep an eye on.

10/04/2017 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Harold is a solid athlete who plays the game with confidence. He is a coachable player who has a high baseball IQ. Defensively in the MIF, he is a sound defender who can eat up GB's. Harold plays with quick, active footwork taking effective angles to cover a ton of ground laterally. He moves with agile actions and fields the ball in a low, athletic position. He funnels smoothly with a quick transfer/exchange to throw firing the ball across the diamond with strength (has the ability to play SS with his arm). Offensively, this RHH steps into the box with a purpose. He has an athletic, open stance with centered balance. Quick hands fire the barrel to and through the zone on a short/direct path, resulting in pop off of his barrel. Harold can drive the ball to each gap with power. He battles at the plate and puts the barrel on the ball consistently (collecting 2 singles, a double and a walk). Col (2020 grad) is fun to watch when he steps onto the diamond. His versatile skill-set should garner him a ton of looks over the next couple of years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
