08/30/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Wilmington, DE Harold is a tall, solid LHP/1B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry (80 mph velocity) on his throws. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, fastball showed range of 74-76 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Harold has potential and will get looks from the college coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
