01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Harrison is an athletic OF/RHP prospect who showcased his skills at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Harrison makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets into a simple load on time and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid gap to gap pop. On the mound, Harrison gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline towards the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Harrison shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 71mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 59-60mph with 11-5 break. With three more years to develop, Harrison has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Harrison is a tall, athletic OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth clean actions. He utilizes his / feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind balls more and play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are strong (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 2 for 6 with a 3B and 3 BB, showing good plate discipline. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 64-69 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 4 years to further develop, Harrison has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
