12/02/2012 - College PREP - McCook (Chicago), IL Harrison is a young, lean two-position player. In the infield, he makes the routine play. Double play turns are consistent. Would like to see him add some prep to his feet, and to field the ball more out in front. Exchange is clean but a bit long. In the batter's box he separates well and has a line drive, middle-of-the-field approach. Tends to get a little uphill with his swing path caused by some collapse of his back leg. This causes him to hit with topspin. He will see more consistent hard contact as he centers his weight between his feet and levels his bat plane. On the mound, Harrison throws three pitches—a fastball that is mainly straight, a 11/5 shaped curveball with good arm speed, and a changeup with some arm side run. Delivery is smooth and he comes to a good balance point. He lacks momentum and finishes upright. He needs to continue to long toss and work on overall strength and athleticism. Has a lot of time to grow and improve in all areas.
