12/27/2019 - College PREP - Rindge, NH Harrison is a tall RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Harrison gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline towards the plate. Harrison shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 79mph. Breaking ball sits from 65-67mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 71-72mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Finishing with his chest over his front knee can help Harrison improve as a pitcher. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid line drives. Harrison can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. Overall, Harrison is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

In the field, Harrison plays with active footwork and covers good ground. He presents his glove and fields the ball in an athletic position. He does a nice job playing through the baseball with good momentum towards his target. He has a short arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot producing accurate throws. Offensively, Harrison has a square stance with a centered balance. He has a good load with a short stride and partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. He has an on-plane swing path. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
