10/11/2020 - Back to Baseball Program Only - Sauget (St. Louis), IL
Harrison is a RHP/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Harrison gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, finishing with a controlled landing. Harrison shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 56-58mph with 10-4 break. Striding square toward the plate can help Harrison improve his pitch command. In the field, Harrison makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Harrison can field ground balls more efficiently by getting into a more athletic fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load well and produces solid contact. Taking a shorter swing path can help Harrison barrel up more baseballs. With five more years to develop, Harrison has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory's Fall Classic Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 12-14)
Harrison continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities as he has a good week at the Fall Classic. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind more and play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 60 mph. Fastball showed a range of 59-60 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with across break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but will benefit by developing more movement on pitch. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.
