06/29/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Pittsburgh, PA Harron continues to show nice improvements in his game and did so in Pittsburgh. He raised arm strength to 85 MPH, exit velocity to 86 MPH, and ran his best 60 to date at 7.02 seconds. At SS, Harron has quick/active feet, soft/presentable hands, and he fields low and athletically. He tracks well to his glove, makes plays cleanly, and throws with carry and accuracy across the diamond. Attacking more aggressively will only help improve already solid skills. At the plate, Harron has an open stance, a short stride, and good balance. He has a quiet/still head, he stays connected, and he makes hard/level contact consistently. Harron is a nice player with a high ceiling.

12/27/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Pittsburgh, PA Harron is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Harron shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a low position and fields the ball with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and leads well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid contact to all fields. On the mound, Harron gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and finishes with his chest over his front knee. Harron shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 72mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 57-59mph with late 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 60-61mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Fielding
1. Long toss
Hitting
1. Add strength
Pitching
1. Work inline towards the plate

12/27/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Pittsburgh, PA Harron is a young, thin, 2-way player who pitches and plays SS. On the mound, Harron stands over the rubber well, he has a clean arm action, and works in good rhythm. He keeps his eyes on target, repeats his delivery, and uses his lower body. At SS, Harron has fluid footwork, agile movements, and he fields in a low/athletic position. He has a clean exchange and a short/accurate arm with carry to his target. Offensively, Harron stands in athletically; he has good balance, and a fluid swing. He has fast bat speed, a direct barrel to the ball, and makes consistent contact. Harron is a solid player and can improve with work on the following.

Pitching
1. CB
2. Long toss
3. More leg drive
Infield
1. Play more through
2. Avoid rushing
Offense

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
