03/25/2018 - College PREP - Mill Valley (San Francisco), CA Hawk is a hardworking 2B/C prospect who has a versatile skill set. Offensively, Hawk has a tall setup with a centered balance. He maintains a quiet head and has an on-time stride. Hawk has a long swing path and is developing bat speed. He is a line drive type hitter who can drive the ball to both the opposite field and pull side. In the field, Hawk plays hard and makes the routine plays. He fields the ball in a high position with a firm glove. He is a working on a quicker exchange and looser arm action. Hawk plays through the ball with good momentum and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws are online across the diamond. Behind the plate, Hawk has an effective setup and tracks the ball well. He presents a good target and sticks it on the corners. Hawk is quick to his knees when needing to block. He throws with a loose arm action from a low 3/4 arm slot. Overall, Hawk is a well-rounded prospect who has potential to improve his skills with development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
