06/13/2015 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Hayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, pop times has improved as he threw his lowest pop time to date at 2.10 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with life / carry / accuracy on his throws. Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he has improved his hitting / power grades through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing with baseball exploding off the bat when centered as he works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. His exit velocity off the bat was at 90 mph as he shows a solid feel for the barrel. At the event, he was 4 for 10. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. He will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
