06/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Rapid City, SD Hayden is a solid, 2-way player with good all around skills. At SS, Hayden has a presentable glove, active feet, and he centers the ball well. He plays with energy, his exchange is clean, and he delivers the ball with consistency from a short arm action across the diamond. On the mound, Hayden has good balance, a loose/free arm circle, and he separates his hands on time. He gets good extension on his pitches, finishes completely toward his target, and he throws strikes. Offensively, Hayden has an athletic set-up, good balance, and fast bat speed. He has a direct barrel, makes square contact, and he can work the ball to all fields. Solid abilities can further improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
