01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Hayden continues to show as a prospect at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the OF, he continues to shine. He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally, displaying range (6.95 60 time) as he covers a ton of ground. He displays smooth / clean actions with hands / feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and on line carry (83 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, he showed a closed setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop.

07/29/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Hayden is an athletic IF/OF prospect who works hard every time he steps on the field. He uses his athleticism to show off good speed, both running the bases and running down fly balls in the outfield. He has quick feet in the field with a fast first step and this leads to agile lateral movement and good range. He is very aggressive moving to the balls hit to him and fields the ball square to his body. At the dish, this prospect has quick hands with a direct path to the ball, making consistent, solid contact in his at bats. He has also tracks the ball well with a good feel for the barrel and will have more pop as he matures. Loading his hands and engaging his lower half will allow Hayden to stay in rhythm and impact the ball will more force. Hayden is an intriguing prospect we look forward to watching grow.

11/12/2015 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Hayden showed as an athletic ball player with a lot of upside at the Baseball Factory Select Training and Competition at Pirate City. Offensively, he had good balance through out his swing and worked his backside through contact well. He kept his head still, and drove with his hands and hips together to accelerate the barrel. In the OF, he communicated well and worked through fly balls. He tracked the ball off the bat with some feel and used his feet to help him throw. In all - Hayden was an awesome kid to work with, and he truly has a lot of upside with time on his side to take his game to the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
