12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Hayden is a coachable C/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the West Coast Winter Classic. Behind the plate, Hayden sits in an athletic stance and receives with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through the 2B bag. He is efficient moving to block and tucks his chin well. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a controlled stride. He is controlled getting into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half. He gets good extension through the ball with fast bat speed, leading to consistent line drives. On the mound, Hayden gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and accelerates through his release, staying line towards the plate. Hayden's fastball tops out at 72mph with cutting action. Overall, Hayden is a talented prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

11/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Midland, TX Hayden is a solid, 2-way player who catches and pitches. Behind the plate, Hayden has fluid/active feet, firm hands, and he gains ground well. He sits in quietly, moves well laterally when blocking, and he throws with consistency from a short arm action to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.3 seconds. On the mound, Hayden has good balance and a loose arm circle. He works well to his balance point, separates his hands on time, and he finishes in a complete position. At the plate, Hayden has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and fast bat speed. He swings on plane, makes consistent contact, and he finds the barrel consistently. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
