11/18/2022 - 2022 Baseball Fall Prospects Tournament (MS) Hayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 2B, defensive abilities have improved as he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 66 mph. Fastball showed a range of 62-66 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/04/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training at Pirate City Hayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best to time to date. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range increasing as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improve through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 56 mph. Fastball showed a range of 54-56 mph. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength and develop off speed pitches will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

Academic All-American Tournament (MS) Hayden is a class of 2027 3B/RHP prospect. In the field, he did a very good job of centering the baseball. Showed an ability to make the routine play. Was very vocal. At the plate, he started in a tall and square stance. Showed very loose hands. Did a good job of staying aggressive and trying to hit early in the count. On the mound, he pitched with only his fastball from a high ¾ arm slot. Showed good confidence in his ability and looked the part on the mound. Filled up the strike zone and showed feel for being a command-focused pitcher. Hayden is a good prospect that we hope to see again in the future.

11/21/2020 - New England Regional Offensive Skills and Pitching/Catching Combined Weekend Hayden continues to work hard on his skills. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 49-53 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break and is a pitch still in the developmental phase. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a feel for pitch with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

11/12/2020 - Baseball Factory Select Training at Pirate City Hayden is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training at Pirate City. In the field, Hayden makes the routine plays and works to make accurate throws to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Hayden field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He rotates his core through and drives the ball to his pull side. Hayden can barrel up more baseballs by working through a shorter, more level swing path. On the mound, Hayden gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and finishes with a controlled landing. Hayden shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 53mph. Changeup sits from 45-46mph with sinking action. Long tossing can help Hayden build up his arm strength. With seven more years to develop, Hayden has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

08/09/2020 - All-In Membership - Brockton (Boston), MA Hayden is a young (2027 grad) R/R 2-way player as a 3B/RHP. With the bat, this RHH shows an athletic/tall stance with centered balance. He takes a hack, engages his lower 1/2 and looks to drive the ball on a line. Getting loaded sooner will help to increase pop off of the barrel. At 3B, he hustles into a square fielding position behind the GB working right to left. He tracks the ball into his mitt, gathers well and has a clean transfer to throw. Continuing to develop his footwork/agility will help to increase lateral range in the INF. On the mound, White throws a FB & CH from a high 3/4 arm slot and clean arm action. He has smooth separation and a clean/free arm action. He throws strikes consistently, FB ranging from 47-48. Developing arm strength (long toss) and working to finish with more extension on his follow through will aid in his development on the mound. Hayden still has a ton of time to develop to get to where he wants to be.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
