Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • SS/OFPosition Projection

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Haydin is a talented SS/OF prospect who has a versatile skill set. In the field, Haydin shows slightly better in the outfield but has the ability to play infield too. He plays athletically and covers good ground in each direction laterally. He fields the ball in the proper position with soft hands. Haydin has a long arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a quick release showing consistently strong, accurate throws. As a right-handed hitter, Haydin has an open stance with a centered balance. He has fluid rhythm with a good load and short stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Haydin has a short swing path and consistently lands the barrel to the baseball. He is a contact type hitter with a middle of the field approach. Overall, Haydin has an effective approach on both sides of the ball and potential to get even better.

06/17/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Erie, PA Haydin is a young, thin, 2-way player who plays SS and OF. At SS, Haydin fluid feet, agile movements, and his hands are soft. He fields the ball athletically, has a clean exchange, and throws with a quick release and accuracy to his target. In the OF, Haydin reads the ball off the bat well, he has fluid footwork, and he fields low. He has soft hands, makes plays consistently, and throws with accuracy to his target. Offensively, Haydin has a square set-up, good balance, and a level swing. He swings aggressively, has a direct barrel to the ball, and he makes square contact. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
