01/29/2023 - National Showcase - Indianapolis, IN Haydon is an OF/2B prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame lean build with some strength present. In the OF, showed efficient feet, with good agility, and ability to cover ground in all directions. Fields from a square fielding position and fields out front with al low funnel. Works behind/through the baseball with a clean gather off left foot. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and arm velocity up to 74mph into infield. In the infield, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine and ability to make routine plays. Fields from a square fielding position with a clean transfer. Made on-line throws consistently to first base. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an upright and even stance. Center balance at contact point, with a flat barrel path, and ability to get extended out front. Hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph during BP. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Haydon is a smart 2B/RHP out of Washington, IL in the class of 2026. At 2B, he had quick feet and worked around the ball well to get square and field the ball out front. He makes clean exchanges and accurate throws to his target. In the batters box, he uses a slightly crouched stance with a short stride to work an on plane bat path to the ball. His path enables him to make consistent contact with a line drive approach. On the bump, he did a good job of working in line to the mitt with a good tempo. He threw a fastball which topped out at 64mph and a curveball with a 11/5 action that ranged from 54-55mph. Haydon is a strong player who will continue to develop his game over time.

07/22/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (MS) Haydon is a coachable MIF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Haydon shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws to his target. Long tossing can help Haydon build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a controlled stride. He gets into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a smooth swing and sprays the ball to all fields. Haydon can generate more pop off the barrel by continuing to add strength. With five more years to develop, Haydon has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/27/2020 - All-In Membership - Windsor (Madison), WI Haydon is a skilled, young (2026 grad), R/R 2B who has a ton of upside. Defensively, he displays active prep footwork while taking good angles right to left on his approach to the GB. He tracks the ball into a soft mitt, gathers well and has a quick/clean transfer to throw. At the plate, this righty steps into the box with an athletic/balanced setup. Swing is on-plane to and through the zone as he connects and hits line-drives back up the middle of the field. Haydon has a solid all-around skill-set and a bright future ahead in the game.

02/16/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Lake Zurich (Chicago), IL Haydon is a young, athletic, SS who will graduate in 2026. Defensively, Haydon has active feet, agile range, and he fields in an athletic position. He has a good 1st step to the ball, he creates a good fielding angle, and his exchange is clean; delivering the ball with accuracy and momentum to his target. Offensively, Haydon has an open stance, he loads well, and swings in good rhythm. He has good feel for the barrel, and he uses his lower body. Haydon can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Defense
1. Follow throws
2. Arm strength
Offense
1. Stay level
2. Let ball travel

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
