Official Scouting Report

  • 7Class Rating
  • RHP/2BPosition Projection

10/25/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Henry is a lanky/projectable (6'1"/165) 2-way player as a RHP/2B. On the mound, this righty has a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He keeps his eyes on the target and repeats his delivery well. FB ranges from 70-72 mph with slight arm-side run. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape with good action when he stays on top. Changeup shows slight run and is thrown with FB arm speed, helping to create deception. He is around the zone and throws strikes with all 3 pitches. Working to drive his lower 1/2 off of the rubber will help to get more into his FB. At 2B, he has quick/active footwork and moves well into a square/athletic fielding position. He tracks the ball into his mitt and gathers well. DP turns are quick as he moves well around the 2B bag. As a hitter, this lefty has a tall/closed stance while working back into a loaded position. He tracks pitches into the zone and off of his barrel, connecting and hitting line-drives. This 2021 grad has tools and is a couple adjustments away from getting to where he wants to be.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
