05/29/2023 - National Showcase - Redmond, WA Henry continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times have improved as threw his lowest time to date at 2.06 with accuracy / carry (81 mph velocity) on his throws. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth, athletic actions. Feet are quick and aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, hitting are now solid with outstanding power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

05/28/2023 - National Showcase - Moses Lake, WA Henry continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show at SS for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now 7.28 60time. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in the 2.10 range with accuracy / carry (81 mph velocity) on his throws. At SS, he displays smooth, athletic actions. Feet are quick and aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Henry continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the Recruiting Classic. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well. Pop times showed in the 2.19 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a crouched setup. Hands are loose, working inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

10/09/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Pasco, WA Henry is a class of 2024 Catching prospect. He shows off an athletic frame with room to continue his physical development. He improve his arm strength by 5 mph since we last saw him. Behind the plate, he shows off low pop times (2.07) with help from his quick feet and short arm action. Does a good job sitting low in his hips and shows lateral blocking abilities. Receives well and has the ability to steal strikes with his soft and quiet actions. At the plate, he continues to impress starting in an even and relaxed stance. Does a good job activating his lower half in his load and continuing to drive with his legs throughout the entirety of his swing. Does a good job getting the barrel out front and getting extension to all parts of the field. Put on an impressive display in BP with exit velos reaching 75 MPH. Shows current gap-to-gap power with more projected in the future. Henry is a talented prospect both behind the dish and at the plate.

06/27/2022 - All-In Membership - Redmond, WA Henry is a C prospect who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame lean build with strength present. At C, he showed an easy sit and showed good agility. Works his glove from the ground up and beats ball to spot while keeping pitches in the strike zone. He replaces his feet as he works with good direction towards second base. Made accurate/on-line throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 74mph and a best pop time of 2.07 seconds. Showed a good chest angle on his blocks. A left-handed hitter, he hits from an upright and even stance. Starts with square glide step, with knob to C, and has smooth timing as he rotates to contact point. He keeps his weight between his knees and uses whole field. He squared up baseballs to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 75mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Henry having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
