Holden worked out on the mound during his last workout in Trenton. He stands over the rubber well balanced, he has a clean arm circle, and he gets good extension on his pitches. Holden has a tall frame, he has good direction toward home, and he competes in the zone with his pitches. If Holden can work on his balance point, timing, and use more lower body, abilities on the mound can get better. At the plate, Holden has a closed stance, average bat speed, and he makes consistent contact. He will need to work on timing, balance, and bat speed for hitting to spike.

Holden is a lean, athletic 1B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, he makes the routine plays, displaying clean hands and shows proper footwork around the bag. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he attacks balls more, plays through while presenting hands more out front, and improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 62-63 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with early break. He slows arm speed on his changeup, tipping off pitch to hitters. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength and develops best off speed stuff. With 4 years to further develop, Holden has potential with time and room to progress his game.
