01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Hunter is a MIF who is a prospect on the diamond. At the plate, he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack with power (92 exit velocity) showing best to the pull side. In the MIF, he has plus lateral range (6.98 60 time) working from the ground up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping (84 mph velocity) across the diamond. Hunter has the makings of a special type player and will gets looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

10/06/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures West Hunter continues to show well as he impressed at the Futures West event. He's an instinctual player with a very good feel for the game and a high baseball IQ. Hunter anticipates well in the field, getting good reads/jumps and taking excellent angles to ground balls. His internal clock allows him to decide when to use his quick exchange and release and when he has a bit more time. In all cases he is a dependable defender with sure hands and an accurate arm. Hunter has an all-fields approach at the plate with a line drive path. He shows the ability to adjust the barrel to different pitches and locations resulting in a high percentage of barrel contact. Overall, this is a talented young infield prospect who can play the game at a high level.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Hunter is an impressive, athletic (6.95 sixty), 2020 SS with a 5'11/165 lbs frame. Defensively, he has great rhythm to field and throws from multiple arm slots to finish plays with ease. Offensively, he hits from an athletic setup, and has fluidity in his move to hit. He showed power to the gaps and flashed an impressive 90 mph exit velocity. Overall, Hunter has current next level tools and projects extremely well in the middle of the diamond with 3 high school seasons left to play.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
