08/26/2023 - National Showcase - Salt Lake City, UT This is our third viewing of Hunter since we first met him in August 2022. He continues to make improvements across the board every time we see him. His overall body strength is evident currently ranking 3rd nationwide in the 2025 class in the standing broad jump coming in at 9'9" and 13th in the country in the 2025 class for grip strength with 291 total pounds squeezed (140 pounds left hand and 151 pounds right hand). Arm strength increased 9mph now up to 81mph with pop times as low as 2.07 seconds. He shows flexibility, sticks pitches with a firm wrist and deadens balls in the dirt properly. At the plate, exit velocities were as high as 85mph and he showed a rhythm during his round. Hunter has time and the athleticism to make his college baseball dream a reality.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Hunter is a coachable C/3B prospect who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. Behind the dish, Hunter tracks the ball into his glove and has a clean exchange. He makes strong throws to the 2B bag and keeps them on target. Hunter covers up well when blocking and keeps dirt balls in front of him. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with his hands held high. He works through a fast/compact swing and hits against a strong front side, producing consistent line drives. Overall, Hunter is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

08/08/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - American Fork, UT Hunter is an outstanding catcher in the 2025 class. Behind the plate, he has active feet and catches under the ball. Can maintain the strike zone and moves well in his blocks. Has short arm action and can throw the top of the baseball. Transferring deeper will decrease an impressive pop (2.29) to compliment his accuracy. At the plate, he generates consistent contact and displays solid rhythm. Has a short stride, stays inside his feet and a direct barrel path. Loading his hands will advance his exit velo (84) into the low 90’s in time. He is a line drive hitter with power potential. Overall, Hunter is a player to watch and track his development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
