10/17/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - NC (HS) Hunter continues to show as a top prospect with his baseball abilities. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.05 with accuracy and on line carry (86 mph velocity) to his target. He shows an athletic setup with soft hands and utilizes his quickness well through the blocking process. Receiving / blocking skills shows as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. At SS, he has quick footwork with + lateral actions. Hands are presented out in front as he funnels smoothly to a quick transfer. He plays through well and gains ground toward 1B. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with well above average abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing (80mph exit velocity) and shows a feel for the barrel. This talented 2-way player has a ton of upside.

06/17/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Myrtle Beach, SC Hunter is an athletic C prospect who continues to show improvements on the diamond. Behind the plate, Hunter shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to block. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Overall, Hunter is a talented prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Hunter is an athletic C/RHP prospect who continued to showcase his skills at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. Behind the plate, Hunter sits in a low stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through the 2B bag. He tucks his chin when blocking and keeps the ball in front of him. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is controlled getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid contact. On the mound, Hunter separates his hands on time and works with a clean arm. He takes a prosper stride and finishes through his release. Hunter shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 73mph. Breaking ball sits at 66mph with 11-5 break. Overall, Hunter is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Hunter continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.13 runner. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.00 with accuracy and carry on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a level swing path. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a team player, coachable, and plays the game hard.

09/29/2019 - College PREP - Greensboro, NC Hunter is a C prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Behind the plate, Hunter shows quick footwork and covers up well when blocking. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to the 2B bag. At the plate, this switch hitter shows a solid swing from both sides. He sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a direct swing with explosive bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. Overall, Hunter is a solid prospect who should find success going into his freshman season.

01/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Myrtle Beach, SC Hunter is an athletic, 2-way player with good overall skills. Behind the plate, Hunter has active feet, presentable hands, and he sits in athletically. He sticks the ball well, centers properly when blocking, and has a quick/clean exchange with accuracy and carry to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.47 seconds. At SS, Hunter has soft/presentable hands, active feet, and he fields low and squarely. He works through the ball well, gains ground, and throws with momentum and accuracy across the diamond. Offensively, Hunter can switch hit and currently a bit better from the left side. He has an athletic set-up, smooth actions, and good balance. He has fast bat speed and a direct barrel. From the right, Hunter has quick hands, good bat speed, and he is short and direct to the ball, using his lower body. Overall skills can get better with work on the following

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
