11/01/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bradenton (Tampa), FL Hunter is a strong OF prospect who continues to make steady improvements on the diamond. In the OF, Hunter shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He plays behind the ball and has a clean exchange, working to make accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and tracks the ball well. He drives his lower half through and produces strong contact to his pull side. Overall, Hunter is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Hunter is a hard working and talented young 2021 OF prospect. In the OF, Hunter starts in an athletic stance and has an active prep step. He tries to work behind the ball and follows through on his throws. Continuing to get good reads and creating angles to the ball will allow him to cover more ground at the position. At the plate, Hunter starts in an athletic stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He keeps a quiet head and stays balanced through contact. Continuing to attack the inside part of the ball and keeping a middle approach will allow him to drive the ball to all fields. Hunter will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

01/13/2017 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Hunter is a hardworking, versatile RHP/OF prospect who graduates in 2021. Offensively, Hunter has a crouched setup with his weight in the front of his stance. He has good rhythm with his load and a short stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Hunter has a short swing path producing consistent contact. He is a contact type hitter who has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. In the field, Hunter plays with active footwork and a controlled approach. He fields the ball athletically with a firm glove. Hunter has a clean exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from a high 3/4 slot. His throws have consistent accuracy and good strength behind them. On the mound, Hunter has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing with clean arm action from a 3/4 slot. He keeps his eyes on his target and effectively uses his front side. Hunter has the proper stride length with a controlled landing. He has good composure and does a nice job pitching inside. Hunter's fastball has some cut movement and he commands his curveball. Overall, Hunter has good upside as he continues to progress his talented skill set.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
