01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Hunter is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Spring Training at Pirate City. In the field, Hunter makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate with good backspin through his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Hunter improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets into a simple load and remains centered in his lower half. He works to barrel up the baseball and produces solid line drives. Hunter can improve as a hitter by getting more extension through the ball. On the mound, Hunter gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and stays inline towards the plate. Hunter shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 59mph. Breaking ball sits at 51mph with 10-4 break. Driving his lower half more can help Hunter improve as a pitcher. With four more years to develop, Hunter has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
