06/24/2018 - College PREP - Tacoma (Seattle), WA Hunter is a talented 3B prospect who has a well-rounded skill set. As a right-handed hitter, Hunter has a square setup with a firm front side and centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and long stride. He shows fast bat speed with a direct swing path getting good extension at contact. He produces hard contact and the ball jumps off his bat. Hunter is a line drive type hitter who lands the barrel to the baseball. In the field, Hunter plays with effective pre-pitch actions and quick footwork. He presents his glove and moves with agile actions as he fields the ball in an athletic position. Hunter has a quick, clean exchange with a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a quick release showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Overall, Hunter plays the game athletically with the right approach on both sides of the ball.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
