06/20/2016 - College PREP - Houston, TX Hunter is tall, 2-way player who performs well as a 1B/RHP. At 1B, he takes good angles on hard hit GB's and keeps his hands out in front. He works well on staying in front of the baseball and is always on his toes with good bag awareness. On the hill, Hunter gathers well over the rubber and throws 3 pitches that he mixes well. His FB reaches (75-77 mph), CB has 11-5 shape with breaking action, and a CH that sinks low into the zone. He repeats well and throws strikes. With the bat, this righty has a solid setup keeping his hands active and weight centered. He extends well and drives the barrel of the bat through the zone. Hunter will graduate in 2018 and has a very bright future ahead of him.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
