07/21/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - Session 2 (HS) Hunter is a coachable SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series. In the field, Hunter shows smooth footwork and gets into a square position. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange. He gains ground well on his throws and keeps them accurate with life through his target. Long tossing can help Hunter build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with loose hands. He gets into a simple load and is explosive driving his lower half through. He works through a level swing and displays gap to gap power. Hunter can improve his timing at the plate by getting his stride foot down sooner. Overall, Hunter is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

06/16/2022 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (HS) Hunter is a coachable SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Omaha National World Series. In the field, hunter shows smooth footwork with a quick first step. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with life across the diamond. Attacking the ball more aggressively can help Hunter make more plays. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He gets into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, spraying line drives to all fields. Hunter can barrel up more baseballs by maintaining center balance throughout his swing. Overall, Hunter is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

03/20/2022 - All-In Membership - Oklahoma City , OK Hunter is a class of 2023 Shortstop prospect. In the field, he does a great job of creating a repeatable prep step to get his feet moving. Does a good job of squaring his body up to the baseball and fielding with his hands out front. Creates momentum to throw and throws are on top of the bag. At the plate, he shows a simple approach with a line drive to the middle of the field focus. Stays in good rhythm and has lots of feel for the barrel. Does a good job getting his lower 1/2 through the baseball. Showed some bat speed and potential power with exit velos up to 84 MPH. Hunter is a well rounded young prospect with 2 years left of high school to continue to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
