09/16/2021 - Pathway AZ Upperclass - 18U Huntor is a 2022 2B/RHP who showcased his skills at the Pathway Tournament. In the field, he shows efficient footwork and good lateral range. He works to center the baseball and showed ability to pick out hops. Made accurate throws with good carry and an arm velocity up to 76mph. Huntor has a great attitude and plays with good effort/energy. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance with a high hand set. Activates his lower 1/2 in his load and has center balance. A short barrel path enables him to hit line drives consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph. During the games, he reached base 4 times with 2 singles, a base on balls, and reached on an error. On the mound, he starts square and glove is centered. He is composed on the mound, with a good attitude, and attacks hitters. He throws a FB that sits 62-66mph and a breaking ball with 11/5 shape. With another year of development, we see Huntor making huge strides on the baseball field.

05/23/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Mandan, ND Hunter continues to shine on the diamond. At 2B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, he shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with downward action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Off speed stuff show potential as being quality pitches. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Huntor is an athletic (5'7"/145) two-way prospect (2B/RHP) in the 2022 class that plays the game with energy. At 2B, he shows good anticipation for the ball hit in his direction, fielding the ball in a low/athletic position with the ability to make the routine play. Exchange is quick allowing him to release the ball quickly. Throws are accurate from a quick, 3/4 arm action. At the plate, this righty takes the box in a square/athletic position using a controlled rhythm through his load. He works through his lower half and keeps his barrel through the zone to hit the ball back up the middle of the field. On the mound, Huntor uses a three-pitch mix with good command of the lower third of the zone. FB ranges 67-70 with high volume of strikes, CB has 10-4 shape, and CH has deceptive FB arm speed. He does a good job of locking on to his target and finishing with a controlled landing. Huntor is a hard worker with a great attitude and we look forward to watching him at future events.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Huntor continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, he shows a tall, open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, fastball still sits in the mid to upper 60's. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with cross break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

08/16/2020 - All-In Membership - Dickinson, ND Huntor continues to shine on the diamond. He did improve his foot speed at the event as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.31 runner. At 2B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, he shows a sound, repeatable delivery that allows his arm action to work free to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 67-68 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength on the mound.

12/27/2019 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Huntor is a coachable 2B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic. In the field, Huntor starts in a relaxed ready position and fields in a low position. He throws from a 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Presenting his hands to the ball sooner can help Huntor improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a relaxed stance and takes a soft stride. He gets into a small load and works to barrel up the baseball, leading to consistent contact. Huntor can improve as a hitter by getting his stride foot down sooner. On the mound, Huntor shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 68mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 52-56mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 55-59mph. Being more controlled gathering to a balance point can help Huntor improve as a pitcher. Overall, Huntor is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

08/18/2019 - College PREP - Dickinson, ND Huntor is an athletic 2B/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At 2B, Huntor shows active footwork and fields in a low position. He throws from a 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Increasing his lateral range can help Huntor improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth getting back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid contact to all fields. Huntor can improve as a hitter by getting more extension through his swing. On the mound, Huntor gathers over the rubber and drives his lower half well, finishing with a controlled landing. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 66mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 46-53mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 55-60mph. Loosening his arm action can help Huntor improve as a pitcher. Overall, Huntor is a solid prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

09/26/2018 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Huntor is an athletic 3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Arizona Freshman Fall Classic. In the field, Huntor keeps the ball in front and makes the routine plays. Huntor can improve defensively by getting into a more athletic fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He tracks the ball well and works to barrel up the baseball. Huntor can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With four more years to develop, Huntor has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

08/19/2018 - College PREP - Dickinson, ND Huntor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, he has improved hitting / power potential, now showing well above average through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing. At 1B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls through a low approach. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 61-67 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Huntor is a talented 3B prospect who plays the game athletically. At the hot corner, Huntor plays with quick footwork and an effective first step to cover good ground. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a high position with a firm glove. Huntor has a clean exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He plays with momentum through the baseball showing consistently online throws across the diamond. Offensively, Huntor has a tall, athletic stance with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a slight load and short stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Huntor shows fast bat speed with a direct, on-plane swing path. He has solid fundamentals and can spray the ball to all fields. Overall, Huntor has skill on both sides of the ball and plays the game the right way.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
