07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Ian is a coachable OF/RHP prospect who made adjustments well during his time at the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Ian tracks the ball well and fields out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and throws from a high 3/4 angle, keeping his throws consistent to his target. Ian can improve defensively by taking better routes to the ball. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and works to barrel up the baseball. Ian can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. On the mound, Ian keeps his head on target as he works inline towards the plate and finishes square. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 67mph with tailing action. Slider sits at 60mph with 12-6 break. Changeup sits at 58mph. Ian can improve as a pitcher by coming to a balance point over the rubber. With four more years to develop, Ian has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
