Official Scouting Report

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Isaac is an athletic and talented 2018 2-way player. At SS, Isaac has rhythm in his prep step and presents a low/early glove. He plays through the backhand and has a clean exchange. At the plate, Isaac loads his hands back into the drive position and attacks the inside part of the ball. He drives the ball to all fields and stays balanced through contact. On the bump, Isaac gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and finishes over the front side. He has the ability to throw all 3 pitches for a strike and worked both sides of the plate. Isaac will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

06/03/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Isaac is a hardworking 2B/RHP prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2018. In the field, Isaac plays with effective footwork and good body control as he takes the correct angles to show good range. He gets around the baseball and fields it athletically showing smooth glove work. Isaac has a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws are consistently online across the diamond. Offensively, Isaac has an open stance with a centered balance. He has a good load with a short, square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. He has a short swing path and gets good extension producing consistent contact. He is a contact hitter who stays compact with a simple approach. On the mound, Isaac has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He extends through his release and can benefit from a longer stride length. He attacks the strike zone and changes speeds. Overall, Isaac is a talented prospect and has a good approach giving him good upside to get even better.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Isaac is a 5'10/160 lbs two-way guy that is about to enter into his junior spring season. He was smooth to make plays at SS with plus athleticism and soft hands. He worked fluid right and left and his DP's were clean. At the dish, he had good balance through the swing and hit to all fields with a line-drive path. He was direct down to contact after a simple, fluid move to hit. On the hill, he threw a FB with tail, and spun a 12/6 CB from 62-64. He had clean arm action after separating on-time and finished athletically, allowing him to make plays with ease. Overall - Isaac is an intriguing follow with skill in all he does on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
